Coat, Check.

Every year I treat myself to one really nice coat. Last year I bought the Ted Baker peplum coat seen in my last post (here). This year, I totally lucked out as I’ve been craving a Mackage coat for years now and saw this BEAUTYYYYYYYY at Nordstrum Rack (The one on L St NW, hurry before they’re all gone if you want one, this style is from last season.) My heart started to palpitate the minute I saw it. When I tried it on I knew I would be leaving the store with it, and every time I wear it, I fall a little more in love. I love all the different ways you can place (or button) the collar, the color (I’m calling it camel, but they say it’s “sand”), and the chic, casual look it gives when worn open. The tie is leather and it’s sewn down on the back. This coat is well crafted, the stitching is intricate and sturdy. Yadda yadda, I’ll say anything to justify the price but it really is true!!   Original price was almost $800 I think, snagged it for $390. Not bad eh??!

I love to visit the farmer’s market in downtown Silver Spring. My daughter used to have ballet lessons right across from it and since then I’ve been  drawn in the whole scene. Sometimes I buy  my groceries  here even though I always over spend. It’s worth every penny too, the food here is so incredibly fresh. Fresher than the Whole Foods around the corner or any other farmer’s market in the vicinity (haven’t been to any in DC yet). I wish I had taken more pics of the produce but we got there so early, they were still setting up.  Although I HATE the cold, I’m so drawn to “outdoor activities” during this season. The colors are so pretty. Later!
